Sunday, May 17, 2015 Obstacle course at gradeschool

These are several pictures from a local grade school. Kristi would love the playground and I think we need one of these type of setups at WCTC (but for adults)! It is like its own little training course.

It is hard to see in this picture below, but there is a swing/slide with a cable that runs between the twos stations--like a zip-line. (There is a small black dot almost dead center of this picture and that is the shadow from the seat of the zip-line.)

Balance, climbing, strength, agility, it was all there!

I think this is a water play station, you can just see the metal pipe on the bottom right-hand quarter of the picture that the water comes out and flows down and then to the right.

What a jungle-gym! Soft padding below.
Small soccer court with goals on both ends (only one visible here).
 Permanent Ping-Pong table.
There is some advertisement from the police department on the backboards, but need it translated.

  3. A playground architect(designer?) in Denmark has the idea that playgrounds ought to challenge kids' creativity. He has designed playgrounds with equipment that allows children to interact with what's installed - equipment that can be moved around by the kids/ This playground looks like at least a part of it is designed to allow more input from the players. Thanks for sharing.
